Good food starts with good ingredients. As a Nature Park host, we focus on fresh regional produce, short supply chains and sustainable farming. Local game, herbs from the forests or vegetables from nearby farmers - here you can taste the region in every bite.
Typically Baden, traditionally Swabian - always authentic
Hearty Maultaschen, tender braised venison, fragrant herbs from the garden - in our restaurant in Freudenstadt, it’s all about authenticity. Baden and Swabian classics meet fine, modern touches. We prefer to source our ingredients locally, and our fish comes from regional waters. Each season brings its own flavours, and that’s exactly what our restaurant menu reflects. And if you have a sweet tooth, our in-house patisserie always has a treat ready for you.
We also offer all dishes to go. Please order your takeaway food at least one hour before your desired collection time.

Whether you fancy a light lunch or a multi-course dinner - in our restaurant you can always dine à la carte and discover the cuisine of the Black Forest.
We serve lunch from 12:00 to 1:30pm, and dinner from 6:00 to 8:00pm (last order each time).
Drop by and taste what the region has to offer. We recommend booking a table in advance.
Breakfast by the lake
When the aroma of fresh bread and coffee drifts through the hotel corridors, you know the day is off to a perfect start. At our breakfast buffet at Hotel Langenwaldsee, you’ll find everything that makes mornings happy: oven-warm rolls and hearty wholegrain bread, delicious jams and spreads, savoury regional cheese and sausage specialities, fresh fruit, crunchy muesli and much more. Add a view of the tranquil Langenwaldsee - breakfast in Freudenstadt doesn’t get any better than this.
Whether you’re an early riser or prefer a slower start to your morning - the breakfast buffet awaits you from 7:00 to 10:30am.
Sweet craftsmanship
Buttery shortcrust pastry, light-as-air cream fillings, chocolate that melts gently in your mouth - in our in-house patisserie, little masterpieces are created every day from the recipe treasures of Grandma and Great-grandma. A particular favourite: our Black Forest-style tiramisu, where aromatic cherries, fine mascarpone and a hint of kirsch come together in a heavenly combination. Add a fragrant cup of coffee on the lakeside terrace, while the sun casts golden reflections on the water. Coffee breaks here taste like home.
Coffee and cake time is every day from 2:00 to 5:00pm.
